This training is for any member of Law Enforcement, Public Health, or formal alcohol-focused community coalition to become a Certified Regional Trainer. After completing this training, you will be able to train alcohol sellers and servers in your community.
While progress has been made to reduce alcohol-related crashes, injuries, and deaths in recent years, impaired driving and irresponsible alcohol service continues to be a challenge in Minnesota.
Shawn Hansen, Law Enforcement Liaison from the Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division is providing training to individuals to be certified as Alcohol Awareness Regional Trainers. Certified Regional Trainers will provide Alcohol Server Awareness Training to alcohol sellers and servers in their communities as well as Special Event Alcohol Training.
The Regional Trainer will provide a structured educational program to a greater number of alcohol sellers and servers that will help them prevent overserving and underage access to alcohol, thus making our communities and roads safer.
Requirements for Trainers:
- Conduct at least two trainings per year
- Provide training at no or low cost
As a Certified Regional Trainer, your students may include on-sale, off-sale, and special event sellers and servers.
